PICK-UP EARTH Project
In order to co-create a thriving world for ourselves and future generations, Pick-Up Earth explores, restores, and protects the ecosystems of North America by cleaning thousands of miles of roads, lakes and waterways. We host pop-up events that build and strengthen communities by inspiring them to collect, recycle and utilize the trash in their area, while educating about and advocating for cleaner rivers, oceans and waterways nationwide.
Mud the Mesa CommunITY PROJECT
As rent prices rise, largely due to out-of-state property owners and the short-term rental boom, it is not uncommon to see people born and raised in Taos having to work two or three jobs to pay their rent and provide for their families.
We plan to build 3 community kitchens and 12 livable tiny-home structures on the Three Peaks Mesa over the course of three years; offering intensive educational workshops throughout this time so that anyone can learn to build their own home. These “community pods” will serve as a model for sustainable housing within the Taos community and beyond. A community garden, community well-access, and solar power are a few resources that will be available in this off-grid sustainable housing model.
